Symantec Introduces Data Backup Appliances
Symantec Corporation is determined to go all out with its data backup appliance model. As of yet, the corporation has already added a 4th NetBackup appliance for ventures-cum-firms. Not be left out, the small-and-medium business models (SMB) too are being catered to by Symantec, which has unveiled the 1st Backup Exec appliance for the same genre of business size.
These newly introduced appliances shall facilitate institutes in bringing their backup infrastructures to the cutting-ege of technology and consequently, the appliances shall fast-forward novel initiatives with better reliability. These backup appliances can be introduecd into the organisation systems in as little as half an hour, with the cost of one of the flagship appliance, the NetBackup 5200 base unit, being $23,795.
Although lately Symantec is focusing largely on appliances (it also has a FileStor appliance) the sale of stand-alone softwares is not going to be ignored.
